Why
- No overlapping temperature: Clown Pleco wants 73–82°F but Shadow Panda Shrimp wants 62–72°F.
- Clown Pleco is much larger than Shadow Panda Shrimp but is not a shrimp hunter — it may take a shrimplet or clean up a moult. Adults are safe with cover.
- Clown Pleco will eat Shadow Panda Shrimp shrimplets. The colony still grows if there is moss or another dense hiding place for the babies.
- Only a narrow water hardness overlap — keep both around 4–4 dGH.
