- Red Claw Crab is not on the verified shrimp-safe list, so we will not recommend it over a breeding Mischling / Taiwan Bee colony. It may well be fine — it simply has not been confirmed by a source, and an unverified guess is not worth the colony.
- Red Claw Crab hunts shrimp. Mischling / Taiwan Bee is large enough to be awkward prey, but not safe.
- No overlapping temperature: Mischling / Taiwan Bee wants 68–74°F but Red Claw Crab wants 75–82°F.
- No overlapping pH: Mischling / Taiwan Bee wants 5.8–6.6 but Red Claw Crab wants 7.5–8.5.
- No overlapping water hardness: Mischling / Taiwan Bee wants 2–5 dGH but Red Claw Crab wants 15–25 dGH.
- Red Claw Crab will eat Mischling / Taiwan Bee shrimplets. The colony still grows if there is moss or another dense hiding place for the babies.
