Why
- Thai Freshwater Crab is not on the verified shrimp-safe list, so we will not recommend it over a breeding Mischling / Taiwan Bee colony. It may well be fine — it simply has not been confirmed by a source, and an unverified guess is not worth the colony.
- Thai Freshwater Crab hunts shrimp. Mischling / Taiwan Bee is large enough to be awkward prey, but not safe.
- No overlapping pH: Mischling / Taiwan Bee wants 5.8–6.6 but Thai Freshwater Crab wants 7–8.
- No overlapping water hardness: Mischling / Taiwan Bee wants 2–5 dGH but Thai Freshwater Crab wants 6–15 dGH.
- Thai Freshwater Crab will eat Mischling / Taiwan Bee shrimplets. The colony still grows if there is moss or another dense hiding place for the babies.
