Why
- Almost no shared temperature: Emerald Eye Rasbora wants 72–79°F and Super Crystal Red Shrimp wants 62–72°F, so only 72°F suits both — too fine a margin to actually hold.
- Adult Super Crystal Red Shrimp are safe with Emerald Eye Rasbora, but it will take newly hatched shrimplets. Give the colony a thick mat of moss and let it reach 30-50 adults before adding fish, and it will still grow — just slower.
- Emerald Eye Rasbora will eat Super Crystal Red Shrimp shrimplets. The colony still grows if there is moss or another dense hiding place for the babies.
- Only a narrow water hardness overlap — keep both around 4–4 dGH.
Sweet spot: both do well at 72–72°F and pH 5.8–6.8 — aim there.
