Can Fire Rasbora live with Cardinal Shrimp?

Why
- Almost no shared temperature: Fire Rasbora wants 72–79°F and Cardinal Shrimp wants 79–84°F, so only 79°F suits both — too fine a margin to actually hold.
- No overlapping pH: Fire Rasbora wants 5.5–7 but Cardinal Shrimp wants 7.5–8.5.
- Adult Cardinal Shrimp are safe with Fire Rasbora, but it will take newly hatched shrimplets. Give the colony a thick mat of moss and let it reach 30-50 adults before adding fish, and it will still grow — just slower.
- Fire Rasbora is roughly twice the length of Cardinal Shrimp. Adults are usually left alone in a well-planted tank, but the odd one gets taken.
- Fire Rasbora will eat Cardinal Shrimp shrimplets. The colony still grows if there is moss or another dense hiding place for the babies.
- Only a narrow water hardness overlap — keep both around 8–8 dGH.
