Can Red Claw Crab live with Carbon Rili Shrimp?

Why
- Red Claw Crab is not on the verified shrimp-safe list, so we will not recommend it over a breeding Carbon Rili Shrimp colony. It may well be fine — it simply has not been confirmed by a source, and an unverified guess is not worth the colony.
- Red Claw Crab hunts shrimp. Carbon Rili Shrimp is large enough to be awkward prey, but not safe.
- Almost no shared temperature: Red Claw Crab wants 75–82°F and Carbon Rili Shrimp wants 65–75°F, so only 75°F suits both — too fine a margin to actually hold.
- Red Claw Crab will eat Carbon Rili Shrimp shrimplets. The colony still grows if there is moss or another dense hiding place for the babies.
- Only a narrow pH overlap — keep both around 7.5–7.8.
- Only a narrow water hardness overlap — keep both around 15–15 dGH.
Sweet spot: both do well at 75–75°F and pH 7.5–7.8 — aim there.
