- Scissortail Rasbora is recorded as taking adult shrimp and is 2.9× the length of Wine Red Shrimp. Dense cover helps and some individuals ignore them, but expect losses.
- No overlapping temperature: Scissortail Rasbora wants 73–82°F but Wine Red Shrimp wants 62–72°F.
- Scissortail Rasbora will eat Wine Red Shrimp shrimplets. The colony still grows if there is moss or another dense hiding place for the babies.
- Only a narrow water hardness overlap — keep both around 2–4 dGH.
